What does a Pinterest Manager actually do and how can hiring one help my business?

I often get asked what a Pinterest Manager (otherwise known as a Pinterest VA) is? I find myself having to to explain what it is a do for a living constantly.

" Isn't Pinterest just a site with pretty pictures and recipes? So what, you just post pretty pictures everyday?"

Umm, not quite.

I have always been a Pinterest fan because i do like scrolling through those pretty pictures and saving recipes that I never land up trying. About a year ago I found myself coming across the same blog posts "How Pinterest Grew My Business". At that time I had a 'Travel and Teach English' blog that I did as a hobby. I used to get between 50 - 200 views on my posts - just family and friends. So I decided to test out this new found Pinterest Marketing Knowledge with my little blog... and WOW, was I surprised by the results! After just two weeks of posting on Pinterest my views had grown to over 10 000! Pinterest was bringing in organic traffic - and A LOT of it! So I decided to throw myself into learning everything there is to know about Pinterest Marketing and become a Pinterest Manager.

Before starting my research I had the same 3 questions most people have:

- "What is a Pinterest Manager?"

- "What does a Pinterest Manager actually do?"

- "How can a Pinterest Manager help my business grow?"

So I am here to answer your questions.

What is a Pinterest Manager?

A Pinterest Manager is someone you hire to set up and run your Pinterest. Pinterest has become one of the leading marketing platforms, but it takes a lot of time and effort to get the most out of this powerhouse. Pinterest has recently changed it's algorithms and is now only effective for new content. Meaning that those old pins that are still bringing you traffic will no longer be doing that. Pinterest wants people to be posting fresh content - new pins with different pictures, titles and descriptions every time you post. And if you are posting 5 - 15 times a day, you are going to be spending a lot of time creating new content, which means less time focusing on your business or blog. This is where a Pinterest Manager comes in.

Many business owners talk about how they tried to handle all sides of their business and they didn't see the need in hiring a Pinterest Manager, but after they did hire one, they could not believe how their business boomed! All of them say they wish they had hired one sooner.

What does a Pinterest Manager do?

In a nutshell, a Pinterest Manager is a Pinterest expert who helps you create and execute your Marketing Goals. They basically do all there is to do on Pinterest in order to get mass traffic to your business' website, without you having to lift a finger. Here is a list of things a Pinterest Manager will do:

- Research and find keywords specific to your business or blog.

- Optimize your current Pinterest or set up an on-brand profile in order to get max traffic.

- Study your industry and join Group Boards relevant to your business/blog.

- Create new Pinterest Graphics daily (this is key - and is often very time consuming).

- Manage Tailwind Scheduling and Tailwind Tribes.

- Create keyword optimized Pins.

- Schedule Pins at times that will reach your audience.

- Report and Monitor results.

- Regular Strategy Check-ins to go over results and plan for the future.

If you are looking to use Pinterest to grow your business and you don't have time to do ALL of the above... think about hiring a Pinterest Manager.

How can a Pinterest Manager help grow my business?

Pinterest has become a hybrid social media and search engine platform. It is used to boost business' website traffic, build it's brand and, in turn, increase revenue. Pinterest is not just for design, beauty and recipes. It has the capability to grow ANY BUSINESS. Pinterest has become a major social commerce platform - people come onto Pinterest to shop! And with over 300 million people using Pinterest, but not many businesses using it for Marketing, now is the time to get your business on it.

Hiring a Pinterest Manager is a precious commodity to any company. They ensure long-term traffic with minimal investment and effort. If you want to stay on top of the marketing game and you want to grow your business, then you will be doing your company/blog and yourself a disservice if you do not hire a Pinterest Manager.
