Whether you are a blogger looking for more traffic to your page and wanting to make more affiliate income, or an online store hoping to sell more products - I've got some basic tips to help you drive more traffic to your website.

You know your content is worth reading and your products belong in homes worldwide, but you just can't seem to be getting enough people onto your platform.

You may have even already tried Pinterest, and googled all the necessary "strategies" to get clicks - but the clients just aren't coming. Here, I will share the fundamental and basic things I do to get thousands of clicks to my website.

Make Sure Your Profile Is Set Up Correctly

Claim your website! Please! You will not be getting anyone clicking onto your website if you don't claim it and link it to your Pinterest. While you are at this stage - make sure your Pinterest is set to "Business account" and not a personal one.

Now it's time to dive in deeper... Boards. This is something that is often overlooked and is so so important. You need to create Boards that fit in with your brand and business. Using the correct keywords and descriptions in your boards and in all your posts is what will get you seen. Pinterest likes pages that have the same keywords in their image, caption, description, and boards. This is what makes your rank higher in the searches.

Make Sure Your Images Are Click Worthy

Do yourself a favour and search a keyword that matches your business (example "Linen dresses"). Scroll through all the pins... which ones stand out to you? What colours, writing, keywords, images are catching your eye? Because if it is catching your eye, it is probably catching other peoples eye and thus getting the clicks...

If design isn't for you, hire it out, pay a photographer to take pictures of your products, or pay for templates on online sites. You aren't going to get clicks if your pictures aren't beautiful!

Make Sure You Are Creating Consistent Content

Consistency is key! The Businesses and Blogs that do the best on Pinterest are the ones the ones consistently posting new content.

If you are writing 5 Blog posts a week or taking new photos of your products every week - then you are going to have more than enough content to post, and thus more likely to be pushed to the top of the searches by Pinterest.

Although this does sound like a lot of work, it is worth it! Pinterest is a powerhouse platform that delivers results.
